About the Course

Programme Objectives

By the end of this 5-week intensive program, students will be able to:

  • Read Arabic words with vowels accurately and confidently

  • Recite the Quran with correct pronunciation (Tajweed and Makharij)

  • Carry memorized Surahs from Juz Amma in their hearts

  • Build a solid foundation in Arabic alphabet recognition, joining letters, and basic vocabulary

  • Gain confidence and fluency in structured reading and conversation

Whether your child is beginning their Quranic journey or needs structured revision, this program provides a focused, supportive environment to achieve these goals.


Who Is This Programme For?


This programme is suitable for:

  • Youth who want to learn to read the Quran with correct pronunciation

  • Students with no prior Arabic knowledge seeking a structured foundation

  • Students with previous Arabic knowledge who want to strengthen their reading and memorization

  • Anyone aged 10 – 16 looking for a focused, holiday-period Quranic Arabic programme


Programme Structure

The curriculum is delivered in English and Arabic, progressing from alphabet recognition to full Surah memorization. The course follows the Beginner Book (Arabic Council) and is structured across five progressive levels:

  • Introduction to the Arabic Language and Alphabet

  • Level 1 — The Reading: Alphabet with Vowels (Tashkeel)

  • Level 2 — The Writing: Joining Letters and Word Formation

  • Level 3 — Sentence & Grammar

  • Level 4 — Converse in Arabic


Course Content

Module 1: Introduction to the Arabic Language

  • Origin and history of the Arabic language

  • Modern Standard Arabic vs. Qur'anic / Classical Arabic

  • The Arabic alphabet: 28 letters, right-to-left script

  • Special features: dotted letters and the unique letter ض (Dhad)

  • Classroom instructions and basic commands in Arabic


Module 2: Level 1 — The Reading (Al-Qira'ah)

  • Arabic alphabet with and without vowels (Tashkeel / Harakat)

  • Short vowels: Fatha, Kasra, Damma

  • Sukoon (absence of vowel)

  • Shadda (stress / doubled letter)

  • Tanween (double vowels: Fat'hatain, Kasratain, Dhammatain)

  • Long vowels: Alef Al-Madd, Waw Al-Madd, Ya Al-Madd

  • Tools to read words correctly with and without vowels


Module 3: Level 2 — The Writing (Al-Kitabah)

  • How to write Arabic letters by themselves

  • Letter shapes at the beginning, middle, and end of words

  • How to merge Arabic letters to form words

  • The six non-joining letters

  • The Hamzah and its rules

  • Practical spelling and reading of words

  • Asma ul Husna (The Beautiful Names of Allah)

  • Most used vocabulary and how to read difficult words


Module 4: Level 3 — Sentence & Grammar (Al-Jumal wa Al-Nahw)

  • Masculine and Feminine nouns and adjectives

  • Detached pronouns (Al-Damair Al-Munfasilah)

  • Attached pronouns (Al-Damair Al-Muttasilah)

  • Sun and Moon letters (Al-Huruf Al-Shamsiyyah wa Al-Qamariyyah)

  • Definite and indefinite nouns (Al-Alif wa Al-Lam)

  • Ways to present questions (Al-Istifham) — using Hal and Hamzah

  • Prepositions (Huruf Al-Jarr)

  • Coordinating conjunctions (Huruf Al-Atf)

  • Demonstrative pronouns (Asma' Al-Isharah)

  • The vocative (Al-Nida)


Module 5: Level 4 — Converse in Arabic (Al-Hiwar)

  • Practical lessons on greeting and conversing

  • The Family (Al-A'ilah) — family members and relations

  • Self-introduction and everyday conversation practice

  • Numbers and counting in Arabic

  • Days of the week and colors

  • Essential vocabulary for daily life

  • Arabic words in common use (Islamic terms)

  • Highlights of Arabic culture



Course Evaluation

Written and Oral Assessments — including group conversations and individual recitation evaluated by Ustaz / Ustazah. Certificate of Completion awarded upon successful completion of the programme.


Class Information

  • Prerequisite: No prior knowledge required

  • Age: 10 – 16 Years

  • Gender: Boys only

  • Duration: 10 Lessons, 1:5 hours per session

  • Schedule: Every Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday

  • Time: 4:15 PM – 5:45 PM

  • Class Size: Limited for personalized attention

Course Fee: S$275.00

Materials provided: Beginner Book, Juz Amma booklet, notebook, and Arabic keyboard stickers


Teaching Team:

All classes are led by qualified male and female instructors, with dedicated assistant teachers for each group.


Certification

Certificate of Completion awarded upon successful completion of the program.
