Arabic Reading and Writing for Beginners

Course Objectives:

1. Develop basic Arabic reading and writing skills.
2. Learn the Arabic alphabet and pronunciation.
3. Understand simple word formation and structures.
4. Able to read arabic and Quran easily.

Course Structure:

Session 1: Introduction to Arabic Alphabets and its original

• Focus: Learn the Arabic alphabet letters (sounds and exits).
• Activities: Pronunciation practice, recognizing letters in different positions, basic writing exercises.

Session 2: Vowel Markers and Short Vowels (Harakat)

• Focus: Introduction to short vowels (Fatha, Kasra, Damma) and Sukoon.
• Activities: Apply vowels to letters, read with vowels, and do vowel placement exercises.

Session 3: Connecting Letters and Forming Words

• Focus: Connecting letters to form basic words.
• Activities: Writing simple words, reading practice, recognizing word patterns.

Session 4: Forming longer Words and Basic phonics.

• Focus: Forming longer words and constructing.
• Activities: Sentence construction practice, reading longer texts, writing simple.

Session 5: Reading and Writing Practice

• Focus: Review and reinforcement of reading and writing skills.
• Activities: Reading short passages.

Additional Details:

• Materials: books and Arabic writing worksheets handouts with vocabulary and practice exercises.
• Mode of Delivery: In-person at the Arabic Council's location.
• Course Duration: 5 Weeks (1 session per week) Each session: 2 hours.
• Gender and age: Males and Females 16 years and above.
